In water reuse, salts and residual materials - in addition to treated water - are the second major material flow. Within the scope of the cross-sectional topic "Salts and Residuals", issues and results are discussed with regard to requirements for the utilization and disposal of salts and residuals, suitable technologies for the treatment of highly concentrated (salt) streams but also analytics in concentrates as well as parameters for process control and monitoring in concentrate streams.
